Scope: The policy applies primarily to information collected through www.guidewire.com. It generally does not govern personal data Guidewire processes for its customers through Guidewire products; those requests should be directed to the relevant Guidewire customer.

1. Data Collection & Usage

Guidewire may collect:

• Identity and contact details: name, postal address, email address, telephone number, account details and IP address.
• Business and interest information: product interests, requests for white papers, event registrations, survey responses, product downloads and communications preferences.
• Career information: resume, cover letter, qualifications, references, employment history and potentially sensitive information needed for legal equal-opportunity obligations.
• Technical and browsing data: IP address, browser and operating system, ISP, referring and exit pages, timestamps, clickstream data, browsing activity and cookie identifiers.
• Public submissions: information posted in blogs, forums, testimonials or videos.
• California categories identified by the policy: identifiers, customer-record information, internet/network activity, and professional or employment-related information. The policy says certain protected-class information may also be collected, particularly in recruitment contexts.

Purposes

Data may be used to:

• Operate, secure, analyze and improve the website;
• Personalize content and functionality;
• Fulfill requests, provide downloads, manage events and administer accounts;
• Send product announcements, event invitations, marketing and potentially interest-based advertising;

3. Third-Party Sharing

Guidewire may share information with:
